Jörgen Smit was born on July 21, 1916 in Bergen, Norway and died on May 10, 1991 in Arlesheim, Switzerland.
While a teacher, a trainer of teachers and later a member of the Executive Council of the General Anthroposphical Society, at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland Jörgen was above all a superb speaker.
During his lifetime he gave almost 5000 lectures and inspired thousands of people on all continents. Both on a personal and a proffessional level he brought people to the core of the issues he adressed.
